The Modernians Society is an association of former students which meets at 5.45pm on the fourth Monday of each month in the School Conference Room. The Society produces a quarterly publication for contributing members, sends members an e-newsletter and organises a variety of reunions and social functions.
The Modernains Society has two major sub-committees – the Sphinx Foundation which was charged with writing a history of the school and its scholars, and the Historical and Museum Committee which archives records, curates the school’s art collection and ensures the preservation of heritage artefacts.

In 2005 the Sphinx Foundation launched the book “Perth Modern School: the history and the heritage”. For information on how to purchase this book ($49.95 + pp) please email the above address. The Society also has Stainless Steel Wine Chillers ($33 + pp) available for purchase as a memento. They are discretely laser engraved with the school crest.
The Annual Reunion of all students was on Sunday September 13. A special focus on the graduating class of 1949 was made.
Past students interested in details of the Decade Reunions of the Year 12 (Leaving) class of 1959 (October 24), 1969, 1979, and 1989 (November 28) should also make email contact.
The class of 1956 plan their reunion for November 6.
The class of 1986 plan their reunion for December 12.
Students from the decade years of 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990 and 2000 are asked to email the society so that committees can be formed to organise reunions for your year during 2010.
