Uniform

Wearing the Perth Modern School uniform is mandatory. The community at large tends to judge a school by its dress standards, hence it is necessary to be most strict in this area. Students are to wear the official uniform of the school during school hours, to and from school and while attending school excursions. The P&C’s Uniform Committee meets as needed to review and monitor issues in this area. Students are required to change into appropriate sport and PE uniform when participating in sport or PE classes, training sessions or competitions.

Parents / caregivers are asked to co-operate by ensuring that students wear their uniform to school each day. On those occasions when a student is out of uniform, they must bring an explanatory note from their parent / caregiver and present this to Student Services prior to the commencement of the school day. The student will then be presented with an ‘Out of Uniform’ pass. In certain circumstances, item(s) of correct uniform will be supplied for the day. If a student continually breaches the school’s dress standards, parents will be contacted by letter / telephone.
