Mod students continue proud tradition of World’s Greatest Shave

The World’s Greatest Shave has become a highly anticipated and large community event at Perth Modern School. As students were learning at home on the scheduled date due to COVID-19, some students wanted to continue this proud tradition and chose to shave their heads at home.

Tina Soodi Shoar was inspired while watching the event when in Year 10 and had been growing her hair for Year 12 when she would undergo the big chop!

‘I felt quiet relieved that I’d finally achieved my goal of two years,’ Tina said. ‘It felt amazing knowing that by doing this, I’ve managed to help the treatment and development of a cure for blood cancer.”

Tina raised $765 for the Leukaemia Foundation.
