There are numerous ways that students can demonstrate and develop their leadership attributes. Some are formally through holding a leadership position and some are through informal methods.
Student Council
The Student Council are elected by the student body to be the student representatives. Year 12 Prefects lead the Student Council, represent the school at official events, embody and promote the school’s values and communicate ideas between the student body and the Executive.
All student leaders have demonstrated strong leadership qualities, dedicated service to the school community, involved in community service and participate in a wide range of school and external activities.

House Representatives
House Captains (Year 12) and House Representatives (Year 7 – 11) promote the House system within the school, lead House events, activities and support whole school House Carnivals, under the leadership of the House Leaders and House Coordinator.

Other leadership opportunities arise for students within the areas of sports, music, arts and academic forums. Some Year 11 and 12 students are Mod Mentors, offering academic tutoring to any student who would benefit from a little assistance. There are Year 8 Peer Supporters who are the friendly faces for our Year 6 students during the transition activities leading up to their arrival at Perth Modern.
There are several student clubs that lead whole school initiatives. The Wellbeing Committee plan activities and events for all students including Harmony Week, Wellness Week and RU Okay day! The Rotary Interact Club, supported by Rotary Club, Subiaco, organises and leads Community Service based activities including Wrapped with Love, Bake a Wish, Ronald McDonald and other incredible charities. There is also a Sustainability Club who use their skills to create a kitchen garden and nursey for plants and vegetables.
