🎉 A Truly Special Visit from Modernian Virginia Pisani! 🎹 Today, Perth Modern School was honoured to welcome Virginia Pisani, an incredible Modernian celebrating her 90th year! Her return to the school filled our halls with warmth, inspiration, and a touch of history. Virginia enjoyed a chat with Principal Mitchell Mackay, Associate Principals Robyn Verboon and Nicola Reilly, and members of the Student Council, sharing her cherished memories and stories from her time as a Modernian. The highlight of her visit? Year 10 Outdoor Education is making a splash this term with their kayaking course! 🌊🛶 Yesterday, they mastered capsize rolls and are paddling like absolute pros. Great work, everyone—keep riding those waves of success!

🚀🌟 Big news to share! 🌟🚀 This past weekend, a remarkable group of Mod students, mentored by our amazing alumni Anna Pedersen and Tom Welman, joined forces with Curtin University Team 4788 "Can't Control" at the Southern Cross Regional Championships in Sydney. And guess what? They won the highly prestigious FIRST Impact Award! 🏆🎉 This award is no small feat—it’s the highest honour in the FIRST Robotics Competition. It recognises teams that exemplify the values of FIRST and inspire others through their dedication to science and technology. It's all about transforming culture, fostering respect for STEM, and motivating today’s youth to become tomorrow's innovators. 🌍✨ But that’s not all! Their incredible achievement means they've been invited to represent Australia at the World Championships in Houston this April. Last night, Sophie Harris, Verity Hughes, and Esther Paterson (Class of 2024) took to the stage at His Majesty's Theatre to perform their Candidates' Choice Drama examination monologues as part of this year's Performing Arts Perspectives.

Out of all the drama students across the state, they were three of only 10 selected to perform—a phenomenal achievement!
