Are you interested in hosting an Italian Exchange student in 2026? 🇮🇹 We are excited to welcome a group of students from our Italian partner school, Cambi-Serrani in Falconara (Marche region), who will be visiting Perth from 17– 24 February 2026. There will be six boys and ten girls (approx. 15-16 years of age) participating, and we are seeking families to host them during their stay. Hosting is a wonderful opportunity for your family to experience cultural exchange firsthand. By welcoming a student into your home, you provide them with a safe, supportive environment while giving your own children the chance to practise Italian, make international friendships, and share everyday Australian life. Some students may have dietary needs, allergies, or other health considerations, and we appreciate families’ support in helping them feel comfortable, safe, and included while in Perth. 🎭 Exciting News for our Drama Captains! 🎭 One of our amazing Drama Captains, Millie C, wrote this report on an amazing experience joining the Australian Theatre for Young People's Youth Advisory Body (YAB). "This year, Miranda S and I joined the Australian Theatre for Young People's Youth Advisory Body (YAB), alongside our fellow Drama Captain Sophie N and 117 other passionate young creatives from across the country. One of the highlights of being part of YAB is YABfest — a national event where members collaborate to bring short productions to life. Thinking back to the short play Dreams that Miranda and I wrote for Perth Modern’s entry in the 2023 Platform Drama Festival — a piece exploring capitalism and the cost-of-living crisis through the eyes of young people — I decided to submit it to YABfest on a whim. 🏀 Celebrating Franek! 🌟 We’re proud to share some exciting news about one of our talented students, Franek C. in Year 8. At the conclusion of the 2025 Western Australia Basketball League (WABL) season, Franek was honoured with the Alistair Stewart Memorial Award by the Perth Redbacks Basketball Club. This prestigious award is presented annually to one outstanding player from the Under 14-1 Boys team. 🎉 Congratulations to Diya S - State Winner of the Rotary Four-Way Test! 🎉
On 20 September, Diya in Year 10 represented us at the State Finals of the Rotary Four-Way Test Public Speaking Competition, held at the Rotary Club in Geraldton—and won the Grand Final trophy! 🏆
The Four-Way Test challenges speakers to consider:

2️⃣ Is it fair to all concerned?
3️⃣ Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
