On the weekend, Paul Hodges in Year 9, and Alice Tanner, Maddy Maxwell and Euan Strachan in Year 10 competed in the Curtin University team “4788 – Can’t Control” with their robot “Whiplash” in the 2023 West Australian Robotics Playoffs, winning first place.
The students were busy building/ coding/ training for months, with the competition taking place over the last two days.
The team was very lucky to have been mentored by Perth Modern alumni and robot guru, Anna Pederson (in yellow) from the Class of 2022.
